The YAR: North will coincide with the Salesian Province's Marian Day.
Part of the Marian Day program features a Mass during which Br. Mike Leschinsky will be ordained a Deacon, and several adults will be inducted as Salesian Cooperators.  This will be an opportunity to experience what it means to be part of the Salesian Family!

About the Young Adult Retreat
The Young Adult Retreat, or "YAR" for short, is a weekend retreat for young adults.

People who attend the YAR include college students, recent college graduates, people who are have been working full-time for a while, and more, which creates an exciting mix of new people to meet.

The YAR has been described as a Leadership Retreat for young adults.  The weekend combines opportunities for prayer and reflection with witness talks, activities, and teachings prepared by other young adults.  Eucharistic adoration, reconciliation, and Mass are also a main element of the weekend.

The theme of the YAR is "Salesians for Life."  The weekend encourages participants to reflect on their role as young people in the Church, challenging them to see themselves not as the future of the Church, but as the young, current Church.

Topics covered throughout the retreat include: authentic Christian living, Salesian spirituality, what it means to be truly Pro-Life, and Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body.  New elements are added to the retreat each year.

Who's Invited?
The YAR is intended for young adults, 18-30 years old.
Participants should be out of high school for at least a full year.

We encourage those who are new to the Salesian family to join us - no prior experience is required!  Come see what we're all about!

Many participants include alumni of Salesian Youth Ministry programs who are looking for a chance to reconnect with the Salesian family.

So whether you've been actively involved with our youth ministry programs for several years, or you've just heard about us for the first time, we want you to come along!
