Gospel Roads III: Mexico invites us to go deeper into service through an intensive week at an international site. For one week, participants live and work side-by-side with other college-aged young adults. They are given an opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ, and be Jesus Christ to others, through service to the young and the poor in the spirit of St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello. The program is not just a service trip and not just a retreat. While each day focuses on service work, there are also opportunities for daily Mass and prayer, group, and individual reflections, as well as, Salesian-styled community building, recreation and fun. |
Eligibility
Young Adults who are between the ages of 18 and 25, and ONE of the following:
- have been a participant on at least ONE Salesian program (e.g. Salesian Leadership Retreat, Day Everyone Connects [DEC], Gospel Roads [I, II, or III], Young Adult Retreat, Empowering Salesian Leaders), or
- have graduated from a Salesian High School, or
- belong or belonged to a Salesian Parish or Youth Center, or
- are members of the Salesian Family (e.g. Salesian Cooperators), or
- have a written recommendation from a Salesian Family member.
All of those who are accepted for Gospel Roads: Mexico will need to have their Passports, or apply for their passports by September 30th, 2017.

Registration will open on June 30th, 2017 by 12:00 AM EST.

Gospel Roads will work on a first come, first serve basis. Although the deposit reserves your spot, it is not fully guaranteed until full payment of the trip is completed by November 30th, 2017.
Our numbers for Gospel Roads are very limited. The following are numbers reserved from each location:
Northeast Region - 10* participants (Leaving from LaGuardia Airport)
*(2 spots are for the Director and Program Coordinator)
New Orleans - 10 participants (Leaving from Louis Armstrong Airport)
Miami – 10 participants (Leaving from Miami International)
Please note that we also need to balance the genders in order to stay in the facility in Mexico
Waiting List
Because of the limited number of spots available, we will be opening a waiting list from each respected area. We require a $250 deposit, which is refundable, in order to secure your position on the waiting list. When there is a cancellation, we will contact you. If there are no cancellations by November 30th, 2017, you will be refunded your deposit in full.
