Salesian Youth Spirituality
Salesian Youth Spirituality is the Spirit’s gift to the Salesian Family.
Embodied in a collaborative effort of young people, FMA, SDB, parents, lay collaborators, and other members of the Salesian Family, the articulation of Salesian Youth Spirituality is a response to a need to pass on our rich heritage to today’s world.
Its attempt to re-read and express the charismatic experience of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello is an invitation to rediscover what has been with us all along!

Salesian Youth Spirituality
in Five Points:
A Spirituality for Ordinary Life
Centered on the Incarnation, we discover how God comes to meet us in our day to day living.
A Spirituality of Joy and Optimism
As alleluia people, who celebrate the presence of God’s love in our lives,
we make it our duty to share our joy and our hope with others.
A Spirituality of Friendship with Jesus
We seek an ever-growing relationship with Jesus, our Friend, Teacher and Savior,
who walks with us on the journey of life.
A Spirituality of Communion with the Universal Church
We learn to love and live relationally in the Church, our setting for growth in faith
through the Word and through the Sacraments.
In the Church we find Mary, the first disciple, who accompanies, nurtures and inspires us.
A Spirituality of Responsible Service
Daily life is presented to us as a setting for service,
for building the Kingdom of God, in both ordinary and extraordinary ways!
